One could say that all sorts of interesting symbolic processes are going in this song. After all, it is the captain who says, "pirates are all we can be." You could try relating that in a sort of Lacanian way to the Name of the Father, or shunting it into the Imaginary-Symbolic-Real triad that Zizek's always going on about.
